This app is installed in-house on a number of iPads at the Art Gallery of NSW as an engaging hands-on resource for visitors to learn more about the artworks in the new Contemporary Gallery, view high-resolution artwork, related archive items and videos, and listen to related audio clips, while learning more about the art gallery.

Moon Phase Photo Maps developed for Astrovisuals
Provides high definition photos taken across the different phases of the moon, with labels for craters and other features that can be turned on and off, a search feature, and calculation for when the phase is next visible. Features on the moon are best viewed and photographed when lit a low angle, so this app allows amateur astronomers to plan their lunar observations.

Beautiful, highly detailed star charts, showing stars down to ninth magnitude and many other objects. Turn on labels, constellation lines and boundaries and grid lines to suit your viewing needs. Echoism developed for False Behaving Animals
Echoism.org is a light-hearted art project by artist Julian Wolkenstein. Take your photo on the free iPhone app (or webcam) and have the two halves of your face recombined into separate symmetrical identities based on the left and right sides of your face. The Art Gallery of NSW: The First Emperor developed for The Nest
Free companion app for The First Emperor exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW. If you're in Sydney, or planning to visit, before 13 March 2011, then check out the exhibition of China's famed terracotta warriors. The app provides photos and background information, plus useful traveller information for visiting the exhibition.
